Abstract

ABSTRACT At this time, human activities in industrial cities mostly outside the home and home owners must have to leave the house before the sunlight is enough to illuminate the house and go home after sunset. This often causes people to forget to turn off the lights inside and outside the house, sometimes even deliberately not to turn it off, resulting in wasteful use of electrical energy. Based on these problems, the authors designed a system that can be used to control and monitor real time home light usage. This home light control and monitoring system can be done using an Android smartphone with the Blynk application installed. In this study, the author uses the Node Mcu8266 microcontroller as the main control component. The sensors used are light dependent resistor sensor and 2 passive infrared sensors. Based on the tests that have been done. The success gained on the system when it is operated automatically is 90% and manually is 90%. Keywords : Microcontroller, LDR, PIR, Lighting.
