Abstract

School Library Information System Implementation Lora Septa Minda Br Sembiring, Ahmad Tri Hidayat. Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : loraseptaminda29@gmail.com, ahmad.tri.h@uty.ac.id., ABSTRACT Data collection activities carried out in the school library of Kindergarten, Elementary, and Private Junior High School Wijayanta Tigapanah still use a manual system, where data collection is still recorded using paper which allows data to be insecure and easily damaged so that transaction data loss often occurs. In the data collection process, problems are always found in collecting data on borrowing and returning books. Besides that, when there is an addition of new books, the librarian does not record the book data but gives the id to the book and saves it to the shelf. With these problems, an information system is needed that can assist in data collection and the process of borrowing and returning books in the school library. The system development stage includes system analysis and design. The research method used in data collection is by interview and observation. Analysis and Design of School Library Information Systems built web-based using HTML and PHP languages and MySQL DBMS. The results of testing the system that has been made are that the system provides accurate results, which is only in one try and the system gives fairly fast results. So it can be concluded that the design that has been built previously can be implemented. Keywords: Libraries, Schools, Information Systems.
