Abstract
Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) merupakan sebuah provinsi yang berkembang pesat dan menjunjung tinggi sosial budaya dan ilmu pengetahuan yang mengakibatkan semakin banyaknya jumlah pendatang baru, baik mahasiswa maupun masyarakat biasa. Hal ini menyebabkan DIY semakin ramai hingga meningkatkan angka kecelakaan dan kasus kejahatan yang menimbulkan luka di tubuh. Kesadaran masyarakat akan keselamatan di jalan masih tergolong rendah, apalagi kecelakaan yang melibatkan sepeda motor lebih rawan mengalami cedera daripada pengguna mobil. Dalam ilmu kesehatan, fasilitas ini ditangani oleh bidang traumatologi yang juga berkaitan dengan kondisi tulang (orthopedi) karena traumatologi merupakan subspesialis dari orthopedi, untuk itu diperlukan fasilitas berupa Rumah Sakit Orthopedi dan Traumatologi (RSOT) di Yogyakarta. RSOT Yogyakarta terletak di Jalan Kabupaten, Desa Trihanggo, Kecamatan Gamping, Kabupaten Sleman, DIY. Lokasi tersebut dipilih karena memiliki kasus orthopedi dan traumatologi terbanyak di DIY. Metode perancangan Rumah Sakit Orthopedi dan Traumatologi ini menggunakan pendekatan “Sense of Place”. Metode pendekatan Sense of Place diharapkan dapat mewujudkan bangunan yang meningkatkan kenyamanan pengguna serta dapat menciptakan Rumah Sakit Orthopedi dan Traumatologi yang membantu kesembuhan fisik dan psikologis pasien dengan menggunakan aspek fisik dan aspek psikologis yang tertuang dalam pendekatan Sense of Place. Adanya taman theurapeutic dan roof garden membuat pasien tidak merasa bosan dan pembesuk dapat menunggu dengan lebih nyaman, serta daerah rumah isolasi dan rumah tunggu kanker di belakang bangunan utama untuk menjamin privasi, kebersihan, dan mencegah penularan penyakit. The Special Region of Yogyakarta (abbr. DIY ~Ind.) is a province that is growing rapidly and upholds socio-cultural as well as science values, which results in an increasing number of new arrivals, both students and ordinary people. This makes DIY to be more crowded, thus it can also increase the number of accidents and crimes that cause injuries to the body. The public awareness of road safety is still low; moreover, accidents involving motorbike riders are more prone to injury than car drivers. In health science, this facility is handled by the sector of traumatology, which is also related to bone conditions (orthopedics), since traumatology is a subspecialty of orthopedics; therefore, a facility in the form of an Orthopedic and Traumatology Hospital (RSOT) is required in DIY. The Rumah Sakit Orthopedi dan Traumatologi (hospital of orthopedy and traumatology or abbr. RSOT) of Yogyakarta is located on Jalan Kabupaten, Trihanggo village, Gamping district, Sleman regency, DIY. This location was chosen since it has the most cases of orthopedy and traumatology in DIY. The design method of this orthopedic and traumatology hospital used the ‘Sense of Place’ approach. The Sense of Place approach method was expected to create a building that increased the comfort of its users, and able to create an orthopedic and traumatology hospital that would help the physical and psychological healing of its patients by using the physical and psychological aspects contained in the Sense of Place approach. The existence of a therapeutic garden as well as a roof garden would not make the patients feel bored, and the visitors could wait more comfortably; and the isolation house and cancer waiting area behind the main building were to guarantee the privacy, cleanliness, and to prevent disease transmission.
