Abstract

Kulon Progo merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang memiliki banyak tempat-tempat wisata yang menjadi destinasi wisata alam yang banyak dikunjungi wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara. Hal tersebut menjadi isu untuk menjadikan sebuah latar belakang dari perencanaan Resort yang berada di kabupaten Kulon Progo, kasus kunjungan wisatawan ini dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya jumlah para wisatawan dari tahun ke tahun yang mengalami peningkatan. Namun, dari banyaknya potensi wisata alam yang berada di Kulon Progo, akomodasi penginapan yang berada di Kawasan tersebut kurang memadai dan hampir tidak ada, maka dari itu perencanaan ini diadakan untuk memfasilitasi para wisatawan tersebut. Karena kawasan tersebut jauh dari pusat kota dan berada di sisi paling barat serta terdapat beberapa titik akses jalan yang sulit untuk dilalui, hal ini mengakibatkan masih kurangnya infrastruktur, khususnya terkait tempat penginapan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan penginapan yang memiliki fasilitas nyaman dan memadai untuk menunjang para wisatawan di Kulon Progo. Dusun gendu dipilih sebagai lokasi perancangan Resort karena lokasi ini dekat dengan banyak wisata pegunungan, khususnya wisata alam yang berada disekitar lokasi. Pendekatan Arsitektur Sustainable juga dipilih untuk menyesuaikan objek bangunan dengan lokasi, agar dapat terciptanya Resort yang nyaman, ramah lingkungan dan dapat mengurangi dampak dari kerusakan alam. Kulon Progo is one of the regencies in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, which has many tourist attractions which are natural tourist destinations visited by many local and foreign tourists. This condition has become an issue to become a background for planning Resorts in Kulon Progo district, the case of tourist visits can be seen from the increasing number of tourists from year to year which has increased. However, from the many natural tourism potentials in Kulon Progo, lodging accommodations are inadequate and almost non-existent; therefore, this plan was held to facilitate these tourists. Because the area is far from the city center and is on the westernmost side, and several road access points are difficult to pass, this results in a lack of infrastructure, especially related to lodging. Therefore, lodging is needed with comfortable and adequate facilities to support the tourists in Kulon Progo. Dusun Gendu was chosen as the location for the Resort's design because this location is close to many mountain tours, especially natural attractions around the location. The Sustainable Architecture approach was also chosen to adjust the building object to the location to create a comfortable, environmentally friendly resort and reduce the impact of natural damage.
