Abstract

KUTAI – INDONESIA DICTIONARY APPLICATION BASED ON ANDROID USING HASHMAP METHOD (Case Study: DPC HPI East Kalimantan) MOHD. Ringroad utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: eriknuget@gmail.com ABSTRACT The Branch Executive Board of the Indonesian Tour Guides Association or DPC HPI is the official Indonesian Tour Guide Association of the Kukar branch, which provides tour guide services to areas around East Kalimantan. The Travel Program includes tourist attractions, accommodation, transportation, itineraries, travel guide books and tour guides. In the process, guests or tourists often have difficulty in having conversations with local residents when the tour guide is not available or when they want to buy souvenirs and interact with local residents. Therefore, a mobile kutai-Indonesian dictionary application based on this Android system was developed which is expected to help tour guides and guests/tourists and can facilitate activities during tourist trips. This Android-based system uses the Hashmap method and its programming language is Java and uses SQLlite as a DBMS (Database Management System). The design carried out includes the design of context diagrams, level diagrams, level 1 diagrams, E-R diagrams, databases and interfaces. The results of this study are in the form of a Mobile Dictionary that can translate the Kutai language into Indonesian with a distributed database feature and does not require an internet network to use this application. The test results state that this product can be easily used by all people and has an easy-to-understand interface. Keywords: HPI DPC, Travel, Hashmap, Android, SQLite
