Abstract

ABSTRACT Micro hydro power plant (PLTMH) is a small-scale power plant that is generally built in places that are not touched by the electricity network but the area has sufficient water potential to generate electrical energy. Before the MHP is planned, a potential study is needed to find out the general description of the water potential and conduct a feasibility study to determine the feasibility of this potential. Sokanandi Village in Banjarnegara Regency is one of the villages that has sufficient electricity supply, but there are some places where there is no electricity supply in the fish pond farming area because it is too far from the electricity source provided by PLN. Sokanandi village is crossed by several rivers with fairly swift currents, some of these rivers have a large enough water discharge to build a PLTMH, one of which is irrigation from the Serayu river.
