Abstract

ABSTRACT Smart TV is a television that can not only be used to watch TV in general, but also provides several other entertainment features. The increasing number of smart TV products makes it difficult for consumers to determine and buy smart TVs according to their wishes, needs and abilities. Based on these problems, this study designed a decision support system for selecting smart TVs using a web-based Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method that can calculate, compare and recommend the best smart TV products based on predetermined criteria. In this study, there are 5 weighting criteria for processed products, namely price data, screen size, screen type, resolution and power consumption. This system uses several programming language technologies, namely HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript with MySQL as the database. The result of this research is a smart TV selection system that can recommend the best product according to the available criteria.
