Abstract

Memelihara hewan merupakan suatu kegiatan yang memiliki beragam manfaat dan menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi beberapa orang untuk membentuk sebuah komunitas tertentu berdasarkan jenis hewan yang dipelihara khususnya hewan jenis anjing dan kucing. Namun disisi lain terdapat hewan-hewan peliharaan yang hidupnya kurang beruntung karena dibiarkan liar dan terlantar oleh pemilik yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Kasus penelantaran hewan ini menjadi semakin tinggi dari tahun ketahun. Sehingga timbul berbagai permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat karena kurangnya kepedulian terhadap mereka. Hal ini terjadi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta terutama di Kabupaten Sleman yang menjadi salah satu wilayah kasus terbanyak setelah kota Yogyakarta. Untuk itu diperlukan sebuah wadah yang dapat menaungi kesejahteraan hidup mereka. Sehingga dengan hadirnya Animal Care dan Community Center dapat menunjang sarana dan prasarana yang dibutuhkan dari segi perawatan dan kepedulian terhadap hewan peliharaan maupun hewan terlantar di Kabupaten Sleman. Perancangan ini menggunakan pendekatan arsitektur perilaku yang nantinya di sesuaikan berdasarkan hubungan karakter antara manusia, jenis hewan, dan lingkungannya. Berkaitan dengan itu, maka bangunan akan mengutamakan kenyamanan dari perilaku penggunanya. ABSTRACT Keeping animals is an activity with various benefits and becomes a unique attraction for some people to form a particular community based on the type of animal kept, especially dogs and cats. Nevertheless, on the other hand, there are pets whose lives are less fortunate because they are left wild and neglected by irresponsible owners. Cases of neglect of these animals are getting higher from year to year. So, various problems arise in the community because of concern. This happened in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, especially in the Sleman Regency, which became one of the areas with the most cases after Yogyakarta. For that, we need a container that can overshadow their welfare. So that the presence of Animal Care and Community Centers can support the facilities and infrastructure needed in terms of care and concern for pets and abandoned animals in Sleman Regency, this design uses a behavioral architectural approach which will be adjusted based on the character relationship between humans, types of animals, and their environment. In this regard, the building will prioritize the comfort of the behavior of its users.
