Abstract

ABSTRACT The warehouse is a place for storing various goods from suppliers in which there is a process of managing goods data. Management of goods data in the warehouse is a means of progress of a company, which will produce information data such as inventory and control of goods. To determine good data processing and produce accurate information, we need a method used in warehouse inventory. The method used in this study is the First In First Out (FIFO) method with the first goods entered and issued first and the Reorder Point (ROP) method. This FIFO method helps companies in the process of controlling goods from incoming goods to outgoing goods. The ROP method is used to calculate when the company must reorder goods and the number of goods that must be ordered without having to go to the warehouse first. Ordering goods is carried out in accordance with existing conditions so that there is no accumulation and shortage of goods in the company. In this research, a barcode generator is added when the company creates a product to be marketed. The existence of a web-based inventory system with the FIFO method and the Reorder Point method can be a solution in the process of data collection, control and inventory, thus facilitating the process of managing goods data to be more effective and efficient.
