Abstract

Mas'e Batik Shop is one of the batik shops located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Batik Mas'e shop provides a variety of clothing such as men's shirts and women's clothing, ranging from shirts, skirts to party dresses, as well as providing batik for children and Muslim clothing. The sales at the Mas'e Batik Shop consist of direct/offline and online sales with marketplaces such as Instagram. The Mas'e Batik Shop has problems in data collection which is still done by manual recording so that it is less accurate because there are many types of batik available and each type must be recorded. Notes given to buyers are also still done manually, so the cashier takes time to record the goods. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design a web-based cash register application at the Batik Mas'e Shop that is able to process product data, transactions and sales information so that it is more accurate and efficient. This system is made with PHP programming language and MySQL database. The system will be tested by black box testing to see whether the system is in accordance with the wishes of the user. Based on tests and questionnaires, the results of this study are the point of sales system has helped users in managing books and transaction reports properly and as needed.
