Abstract
Information systems really help companies to process data by minimizing errors in data processing, so that they will be able to report accurate data that has been generated and create car rental information system applications so as to increase company efficiency. Nirwana Mobil is a company engaged in car rental services. As a Nirwana car service, it still has problems in recording car loans and returns, the similarity of data on car borrowers and customer names. The process of managing the company's transaction data is increasingly inaccurate and slow along with the increase in transactions made. In making reports, it is not appropriate to borrow data from returning cars, and not all reports of ordering, borrowing and returning are covered. The solution offered to overcome these problems is the creation of a rental application that can support the management of ordering data, borrowing and returning cars to simplify the course of data management. Based on the background of these problems, a vehicle rental management application was created to assist the process of recording or managing car rental transactions, as well as making it easier to make orders, borrowing, and returning reports. The software development methodology used in this system is the waterfall/SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodology. The result of this application design is an online-based application that can make it easier for customers to search for cars that are currently available, various types of cars and rental prices both within the city and outside the city as well as facilities inside, along with rental prices, billing payments by cash or transfer, notification time out of rental to the customer and the return of the car if the return deadline has arrived. With this application, all ordering processes are fast, accurate, and there is no similarity in borrowing data and secure data storage. Car rental applications can provide transaction report information to Nirwana Mobil.
