Abstract

The waste bank is one of the strategies for implementing 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) in managing waste at the source at the community level with a pattern of economic incentives. The concept of collecting dry and sorted waste and having management like a bank, but what is saved is not money but garbage. One of the main problems in a city is waste. The waste problem is not a problem that can be left alone. Heaps of garbage that continue to accumulate will be bad for environmental health and cause various diseases. In addition, household waste is the largest contributor to waste. The purpose of the Waste Bank is as a way to raise public awareness so that they can be friendly with waste and get direct economic benefits from waste. With these problems, it is necessary to have a structured information system in the form of a waste bank information system that can help facilitate work in data management at the waste bank. The purpose of this study is to design and build a waste bank information system that can assist in data management, such as customer data, garbage data, and garbage deposit transactions. The design of a Web-Based Waste Bank Information System uses Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) as the basis for the model. The design tools used are HTML and CSS. The output generated from this research is a web-based application. Based on this, the application of a Web-Based Waste Bank Information System can be a solution to this problem. With the waste bank information system, it is hoped that collectors can record waste bank transactions in an organized manner and make it easier to manage waste data as well as a medium that can make people aware that from waste we can make money.
