Abstract

Sales is the main activity in a company, both national and international sales. One of the factors that can affect sales activities is sales procedures. PT Mataram Tunggal Garment is a company engaged in the textile and garment sector. This study discusses the application of existing sales procedures at PT Mataram Tunggal Garment. Information on sales procedures is needed for the smooth process of selling to consumers. Sales procedures must contain clear information in order to prevent fraud. This study aims to identify and evaluate the application of existing sales procedures at PT Mataram Tunggal Garment. This study uses data sources in the form of secondary data by utilizing existing data to find new problems. The results show that 1) Sales systems and procedures at PT Mataram Tunggal Garment are carried out starting from the marketing department which makes purchase orders to finished goods reports to be informed to the accounting department. Next, prepare the goods to be immediately sent to the customer along with purchase orders, travel documents, invoices, tax invoices, packing lists, shipping lists, then the documents are duplicated along with finished goods reports and goods delivery reports to be archived in the accounting department. 2) There were deficiencies in the sales procedures at PT Mataram Tunggal Garment, namely the ineffectiveness of the sales department due to concurrent positions for the positions of Accounting Manager, Production Manager, and Sample Manager and there were deficiencies in the stages of recording and inspecting finished goods which were still carried out by the same department, namely warehouse section.
