Abstract

This report aims to find out what documents are needed to export, the parties involved, as well as the procedures or steps that must be taken to be able to export. Exports are one of the trades that have a role to increase economic growth and foreign exchange earnings. Textile commodity is the main commodity because it has a high value compared to other commodities and has a lot of demand from the United States, which is the main destination for textile commodity exports. This procedure was carried out by means of observation and interviews with related parties at the Department of Industry and Trade of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Interviews were conducted to obtain information related to the procedure for exporting textile commodities to the United States. The results of the procedure for exporting textile commodities to the United States at the Department of Industry and Trade of the Special Region of Yogyakarta show that the export procedures that must be carried out consist of correspondence between exporters and buyers, making sales contracts, making Letters of Credit (L/C), preparation export goods, ordering ship space at Shipping Company, making Notification of Export of Goods (PEB) at Customs and Excise, loading goods onto ships and submitting Bill of Lading (B/L), making Certificate of Origin (SKA), submission of documents to obtain payment , disbursement of Letter of Credit (L/C), and delivery of goods to the buyer.
