This study aims to analyze the impacts experienced by a family caused by the absence of a father, as shown in Louisa May Alcott's novel, Little Women. The writer chose this title because the father's role in realizing the family's stability and quality is very important. This study also aims to find out how important the role of a father in the family environment is and what impact will occur if there is no father figure in a family. This study is a literature review research. This means that the data collected comes from books, the novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott as primary data and scientific articles related to research as secondary data. This research is qualitative. In her study, the writer gets help from two theories. These are objective theories by M.H. Abram and psychosocial theories by Erik Erikson.
