Abstract
The study entitled "Analysis of Taboo Words Found in The Suicide Squad II Movie" aims to determine the types of taboo words and the use of taboo words in the movie using Timothy Jay's theory. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The data obtained is from the characters' conversations in The Suicide Squad II movie. The method used to collect the data is watching The Suicide Squad II movie. Then the writer collects and classifies data according to its type. After that, the writer describes and concludes with the theories used. In this study, the writer found 136 data on taboo words. The writer found five types of taboo words: cursing, profanity, vulgar language, obscenity, and name-calling and insults, where obscenity is the most dominant in this movie. There are several factors in the use of taboo words by the characters in the movie; there are angry, surprised, happy and joking conditions, where an angry state is the most dominant in the film.
