Abstract

Sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis web merupakan sistem informasi yang dapat mempermudah petugas perpustakaan dalam penginputan, pendataan dan perhitungan. Perpustakaan yang ada di SMK Ma’arif NU 01 Limpung pada saat ini masih menggunakan metode manual oleh sebab itu, jika pengelolaan sistem yang digunakan manual, petugas terkendala dalam pencarian buku, kesulitan dalam mengelola data pinjaman, dan pengembalian buku karena harus membuka buku catatan sehingga mudah terjadinya kesalahan. Karena masalah tersebut, maka dikembangkanlah sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis web. Dengan adanya pengembangan sistem informasi berbasis web ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam peminjaman buku kepada anggota perpustakaan dan sebagai sarana informasi yang baik bagi SMK Ma’arif NU 01 Limpung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengujian terhadap fitur yang sudah dikembangkan agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan instansi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis pengembangan research and development (R&D) dengan menggunakan metode penelitian waterfall, dimana model waterfall ini adalah pendekatan yang sistematis dan berurutan pada saat pengembangan dan tahapan. Pengembangan sistem juga menggunakan beberapa tools diantaranya bahasa pemrograman PHP dan Database MySQL. Pengujian berdasarkan aspek functional suitability mendapatkan nilai 1 yang artinya sistem telah berfungsi dengan baik, sedangkan dari segi usability, sistem memperoleh nilai 97,3% yang artinya sistem telah layak digunakan. Sehingga sistem informasi berbasis web di SMK Ma’arif NU 01 Limpung ini sangat membantu dalam fungsional perpustakaan. Kata kunci : Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan, Waterfall, R&D. Web-based library information system is an information system that can facilitate librarian in inputting, data collection and calculations. The library at SMK Ma'arif NU 01 Limpung currently still uses the manual method, therefore, if the management of the system is used manually, officers are constrained in finding books, having difficulty managing loan data and returning books because they have to open notebooks so it's easy error occurs. Because of these problems, a web-based library information system was developed. With the development of a web-based information system, it is hoped that it can provide convenience in borrowing books to library members and as a good means of information for SMK Ma'arif NU 01 Limpung. This study aims to test the features that have been developed to suit the needs of the agency. This research is a type of research and development (R&D) development using the waterfall research method, where the waterfall model is a systematic and sequential approach at the time of development and stages. System development also uses several tools including the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The test based on the functional suitability aspect gets a value of 1 which means the system has functioned well, while in terms of usability, the system gets a score of 97.3% which means the system is feasible to use. So that the web-based information system at SMK Ma'arif NU 01 Limpung is very helpful in library functionality. Keywords: Library Information System, Waterfall, R&D.
