Abstract

Magelang terletak di propinsi Jawa Tengah. Magelang juga menjadi pusat dari Porwomangun (Purworejo,Wonosobo, Magelang, dan Temanggung). Dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang sangat signifikan, Kota Magelang menjadi Pusat perdagangan, Wisata, pendidikan dan kota jasa bagi daerah-daerah yang berdekatan langsung dengan Kota Magelang. Banyaknya wisata alam dan buatan seperti, Candi Borobudur, Candi Mendut, Pegunungan, Hutan Alam dan Taman Kyai Langgeng di Magelang menjadikan tujuan bagi para wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara. Magelang juga memiliki beberapa Hotel yang berfungsi sebagai bangunan hunian sementara untuk para tamu yang ingin atau setelah berwisata di Magelang. Hotel sangat diperluhkan untuk para Tamu luar daerah dan masyarakat Lokal. Sarana prasarana hotel yang banyak diminati adalah hotel berbintang, karena memiliki fasilitas yang lengkap. Dalam menanggapi hal tersebut Pemerintah Kota Magelang berupaya untuk membuat Hotel Bintang 4 sebagai sarana prasarana kebutuhan para wisatawan dan pengguna Hotel. Hotel tersebut nantinya akan di fungsikan sebagai hunian sementara, meeting, acara pernikahan, dan acara-acara lainya. Dalam perancangan Hotel bintang 4 diperluhkan sebuah pendekatan guna mengatasi permasalahan yang ada, permasalahan tersebut berupa iklim di Kota magelang yang cenderung berubah-ubah dari panas yang sangat tinggi dan hujan yang sangat lebat intentitasnya. Pendekatan Bioklimatik sangat cocok digunakan untuk merancang sebuah bangunan Hotel dimana pendekatan tersebut akan memfokuskan kepada iklim yang terjadi di Kota Magelang. Magelang is located in the province of Central Java. Magelang is also the center of Porwomangun (Purworejo, Wonosobo, Magelang, and Temanggung). Magelang City has become a center for trade, tourism, education, and a service city for areas directly adjacent to Magelang City with very significant economic growth. The number of natural and artificial attractions such as Borobudur Temple, Mendut Temple, Mountains, Natural Forests, and Kyai Langgeng Park in Magelang make it a destination for local and foreign tourists. Magelang also has several hotels that function as temporary residential buildings for guests who want to or after traveling in Magelang. The hotel is needed for guests from outside the area and the local community. Hotel infrastructure facilities in great demand are star hotels because they have complete facilities. In response to this, the Magelang City Government seeks to create a 4-star hotel as a means of infrastructure for the needs of tourists and hotel users. The hotel will later function as a temporary residence, meetings, weddings, and other events. In designing a 4-star hotel, an approach is needed to overcome the existing problems, and the problem is the climate in Magelang City which tends to fluctuate from very high heat and weighty rain. The Bioclimatic approach is very suitable for designing a hotel building where the approach will focus on the climate that occurs in Magelang City.
