Abstract
ABSTRACT Tenguyun 1 Yogyakarta Dormitory is one of the assets of the Bulungan Regency government, North Kalimantan province, which was established in 2003 by the Bulungan Regency government. Tenguyun 1 Yogyakarta Dormitory is located on Glagahsari Street, UH04-354, RT 10 RW 02, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta. This hostel consists of two floors and 10 bedrooms where each room has a different capacity. This hostel can accommodate a maximum of 20 people. In managing finances, the Tenguyun 1 Yogyakarta dormitory still uses a manual recording system written by the financial administrator, all data of income, expenses and the remaining financial balances make the financial administrators have difficulty in recording the dormitory finances, including forgetting to record, errors in calculations, data loss and reporting is also fairly inefficient. To improve the operating performance of the treasurer, it is necessary to develop a system for managing finances in Tenguyun 1 Yogyakarta Dormitory by applying computer technology in the financial recording process. Based on these problems, this research builds a financial management design using the Java programming language, MySQL as a database, and using a client server. The result of this research is a system for managing hostel finances based on client server, which is expected to help treasurers as financial managers to make it easier to manage hostel finances and provide valid information. Keywords: Finance, Client Server, MySQL
