Abstract

ABSTRAK Pantai Sarwandori merupakan salah satu temapat wisata yang ada di Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen dan tergolong sudah sangat lama, karena sudah mulai dikenal sekitar tahun 1997. Potensi wisata dari pantai ini tidak diragukan lagi, dimulai dari potensi fisik yang berupa terumbu karang, jernih air laut, pasir putih pantai, hutan hijau dan lain sebagainya, ataupun potensi kekayaan budaya seperti adat lepas sambut dan upcara wianeo atau upacara panggil ikan. Berdarkan pada ragam potensi yang melimpah dan waktu yang tergolong lama, tidak terlihat adanya perkembangan signifikan yang terjadi, baik itu tambahan atraksi wisata ataupun bangunan fisik fasilitas pariwisata. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan konsep yang digunakan dalam pengembangan dan pengelolaan wisata Pantai Sarwandori. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah induktif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Unit-unit amatan yang berhasil diidentifikasi di lapangan kemudian dikelompokan dalam tema-tema tertentu dan hasil dari tema tersbut akan diarahkan untuk menemukan konsep dari pengembangan dan pengelolaan Pantai Sarawandori, kemudian dibahas dengan rincuian kejelasan dari konsep tersebut. Hasil penelitian induktif kualitatif menggunakan metode fenomenologi menghasilkan temuan berupa konsep ekowisata berbasis adat. Mengacu pada ragam potensi Pantai Sarawandori yang diperlukan pelestarian, maka ekowisata yang mengutamakan konservasi menjadi pilihan yang tepat, selain itu masalah kurangnya dana dan hak-hak adat yang menghambat perkembangan Pantai Sarwandori juga dapat diselesaikan dengan konsep ekowisata berbasis adat, karena konsep yang mungutamakan konservasi dari pada pembangunan fisik ini akan lebih menghemat dana, dan pengelolaan berbasis adat akan lebih mudah dalam penyelesaian masalah yang berkaitan dengan ada Kata Kunci: Pantai Sarawandori, ekowisata, adat, pelestarian ABSTRACT Sarawandori Beach is one of the tourist attractions in the Yapen Islands Regency and has been known since 1997. The tourism potential is no doubt, starting from the physical potential in the form of white beaches, coral reefs, clear sea water, white sand beaches, green forests and so on, or the potential for cultural riches such as the traditional greeting and the Wianeo ceremony or the fish-calling ceremony. Based on the variety of abundant potential and a relatively long time, there is no significant development that has occurred, be it additional tourist attractions or the physical building of tourism facilities. Therefore, this study aims to find the concepts used in the development and management of Sarwandori Beach tourism. The research method used is inductive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Observation units that have been identified in the field are then grouped into certain themes and the results of these themes will be directed to find the concept of development and management of the Sarawandori Beach, then discussed in detail the clarity of the concept. The results of qualitative inductive research using phenomenological methods produce findings in the form of the concept of custom-based ecotourism. The potential diversity of Sarawandori Beach demands awareness of conservation efforts, therefore the ecotourism concept that prioritizes conservation is the right choice in this case study. In addition, the problem of lack of funds and customary rights under the development of Sarwandori Beach can also be resolved through the concept of custom-based ecotourism, because the concept of prioritizing the conservation rather than the physical development will save more funds and it is hoped that it will be easier because problem solving can be solved since it based on the local wisdom of the residents of the Sarawandori Beach area.
