Abstract

ABSTRACT Data security in the current technological era is one of the most important things to consider in maintaining the confidentiality of data collection information. One of the data security methods that can be used to secure data is the AES algorithm method. At this time the research was conducted at SMKN 2 Madiun which had some important data to secure, one of which was exam question data. Exam questions are one of the data that is highly guarded confidentially. The author uses a website-based system to increase the security of exam questions and prevent leakage of exam questions by using the AES-128 algorithm where this method is a cryptographic algorithm method that has become the standard symmetric key encryption algorithm with a block length of 128 converting plain text into cipher text. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the existence of a security system for exam questions using the AES-128 method can secure exam questions for which there is no data security system for exam questions.
