Abstract

Himari Craft is an MSME engaged in mendong crafts. Mendong is one of the plants that live in swamps, this plant grows in muddy areas and has sufficient water. Himari Craft is located in Parakan Kulon Hamlet, Sendangsari, Minggir, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Himari Craft has produced various crafts such as envelopes, caps, tablecloths, prayer rugs, bags, and others. At Himari Craft, orders are made by calling the owner of Himari Craft, after an agreement is made, Himari Craft will make an order from the buyer. This study aims to build an information system for ordering mendong crafts to make it easier for buyers to place orders for crafts. In addition, the existence of this system can also expand the market for selling these Mendong handicrafts. The creation of this system uses the programming Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and uses the PHPMyAdmin database, as well as Visual Studio Code as a support in writing code. The existence of a web-based ordering information system for mendong crafts is expected to make it easier for craft craftsmen to sell their handicrafts and make it easier for buyers to place orders for crafts. Buyers from various regions can also order handicrafts without the need to be confused about how to contact the craftsmen.
