Abstract

ABSTRACT Generally speaking, work processes in libraries are still manual, making it time consuming to discover books and examine the intricacies of each page while examining each book individually. In addition, there are unrecorded data regarding lost books, book flaws, and unpaid loans as well as data regarding books and products inventory. In order to examine the details of the book's state, the author developed an Android-based system for keeping track of library books. This system uses QR Codes, which have the ability to make barcodes and scan already created ones. Because the program already contains information about a book's state and because a more effective search for books will result from this, users will be able to find book references more quickly. Android Studio is used to construct the application's user interface (UI), together with Java and XML. Additionally, the author uses Firebase as a data repository. A form is available for entering book data, and Firebase will then upload the information automatically. Based on the 5 sample books the author utilized under various settings, the results demonstrate that the method can achieve the aim. Barcodes may be read using Scan QR Code, which will then show results based on the criteria you've specified. Kata kunci : Book Inventory, QR Code Scan Application, Smart Libraries.
