Abstract

WEB-BASED CAR RENTAL INFORMATION SYSTEM DESIGN (Case Study: Yakerent Car) Rizki Nur Farkhan, Sutarman, M.Kom., Ph.D. Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : rizkinurfark@gmail.com, sutarman@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Yakerent is a car rental company that was founded in 2016 and is located in Sleman Regency, located on Jl. Kabupaten no. 89, Karang Tengah, Gamping, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The problem that occurs at Yakerent is that the recording and data collection of leases still uses the manual method by recording leases in a book. Manual recording and data collection like this makes it prone to loss of data if the book is damaged or the book is lost. If something like this happens, it will take quite a long time to get the rental data back on Yakerent. In addition, if Yakerent requires rental data in the form of a report, the search process will also take a long time and it will take time. Therefore, a car rental information system is needed on Yakerent to make it easier to record rentals. Keywords : Information System, Rental, Car
