Abstract

Implementation of Web-Based Sales Information System (Case Study: Sari Furniture) Muhammad Alief Ferdiansyah, Murti Retnowo S.Kom., M.Cs. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : aliefmuhammadferdiansyah16@gmail.com, Murti.Retnowo@staff.uty.ac.id, ABSTRACT Sari Furniture is a furniture and homewares consolidator and manufacturing company that was founded in 2009. Sari Furniture is a place to find, build or design various kinds of products from mahogany, teak, mindi (white cedar), teak root, and rattan. Based on observations that have been made at Sari Furniture, furniture product sales activities are still done manually where buyers make purchases directly in stores. Sales records also still use books which will later be transferred to Excel. This method is less effective because errors often occur in recording transactions so that it has an impact on making reports. In today's internet is not a strange thing to hear. Thus, the author will create a website-based sales information system that supports sales operational activities, so a system is created that can provide solutions to assist employees in managing sales data and make it easier for customers to obtain information and make product purchases. This sales information system will provide product stock information to customers in real time, customers can make purchase transactions online and generate reports. The method used by the author is the waterfall method, the author analyzes the working system directly at the shop, then identifies the requirements needed in making the system and offers new system ideas. The system design will be made with a diagram model in the form of flowcharts, context diagrams, ladder diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). At the end of making the system, a test program will be carried out using the black box method. The result of testing is that the system can assist employees in data processing. Making this web-based sales information system has minimized the problems that exist in Sari Furniture. Keywords: Information Systems, Sales, Furniture, Waterfall.
