Abstract
WEB-BASED ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEM DESIGN (Case Study: SDN 3 Kasihan) Ilham Agus Saputro, Afwan Anggara, S.Kom., M.Cs. Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : ilhmsapt@gmail.com , email.dosen@gmail.com ABSTRACT SDN 3 Kasihan is an elementary school located in Pakelan Hamlet, Kasihan, Ngadirojo, Wonogiri, Central Java. Previously, there was no information system at SDN 3 Kasihan, so everything was done in the form of a report book and entered manually by the school admin. This causes a lot of information that is sometimes difficult for students to access, so that the teaching and learning process which should be easy becomes a bit constrained. In addition, the parents of students are also less able to monitor the learning outcomes of these students which results in many students not getting enough attention to study at home. From the problems that occur, the author tries to design a web-based academic information system that can display all student scores and also school activities that were previously only books into websites. The design of this system uses the Structured Analysis And Design Technique (SADT) method using the ERD Entity Relation Diagram tool to design the database and the DFD Data Flow Diagram to design the system. The results of the research are in the form of data flow diagram designs, interface designs, and also databases that can be used by agencies as a reference for building a perfect academic information system. With this web-based academic information system, it is hoped that school admins can process data faster and can make it easier for teachers and students in the teaching and learning process.
