Abstract

Web-Based Construction Project Monitoring Information System Design (Case Study: PT Arung Samudera Nareswara Mlese, Gantiwarno, Klaten, Central Java) Oneix Dwi Ananta Maharani, Afwan Anggara. ABSTRACT At PT Arung Samudera Nareswara, the project head is responsible for managing project implementation and monitoring activities in the field. The project head monitors project progress including ongoing development activities, work records in the form of ongoing progress on building construction, and billing. The monitoring process carried out by the project head is to record data on project progress using a notebook and cell phone. The problem that occurs when monitoring work in the field, the media used to record data has limitations in storage, and is prone to damage that might occur in the future. Sometimes, there is also data and information that has been overlooked to record so that it must be re-recorded by the project head. Based on the problems that occur, the authors propose to design and build a web-based monitoring information system. The design of this system uses a structured waterfall method of needs analysis (interviews, observations, and case studies), system design, program code writing, program code testing and implementation. The design of this monitoring information system utilizes the web as access to MySQL database storage. This designed and built monitoring information system can make it easier for companies, especially project heads, to monitor and control projects in the field. This monitoring information system can assist staff, especially the project head, in recording data and monitoring projects in the field at PT Arung Samudera Nareswara.
