Abstract

ABSTRAK PT Madukismo adalah sebuah industri yang bergerak dalam bidang agroindustri tebu yang beroperasi di wilayah Tirtonirmolo, Kasihan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. PT Madukismo adalah perusahaan pembuat gula tebu satu-satunya yang berada di wilayah kota bantul Yogyakarta, penelitian yang dilakukan di perusahaan Madukismo yang berfokus dalam produksi gula tebu dengan jumlah produksi selama 2 bulan periode pembuatan bulan September-Oktober sebanyak 87830 kuintal. Jumlah kecacatan yang didapatkan dalam produksi selama 2 bulan didapatkan sebanyak 561 kuintal dengan total cacat produksi. Permasalahan pada produksi gula pasir yang sering terjadi ada warna gula, berat jenis butir, gula menggumpal. Dari cacat produk yang terjadi didapatkan nilai 15.65% dari persenan kecacatan selama produksi dari bulan September-Oktober. Ada berbagai macam cara pengendalian kualitas produk salah satunya adalah Statistical Quality Control (SQC), yaitu alat pengendalian kualitas dengan menggunakan metode-metode statistik untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di perusahaan. Metode Statistical Quality Control (SQC) digunakan untuk mengendalikan kualitas dari proses awal sampai produk jadi, serta mengendalikan proses produksi dengan standar mutu tertentu yang sudah disepakati oleh perusahaan. Pada diagram pareto pada produksi gula pasir, cacat produk yang paling dominan adalah berat jenis menjadi cacat produk yang sering terjadi yaitu persentasenya mencapai 39%, dari jumlah produksi yang dilakukan selama 2 bulan sebanyak 87.830 kuintal. Faktor yang berpengaruh dalam cacat produk ini adalah mesin dan manusia dikarenakan perbaikan mesin. Usulan perbaikan pada PT Madukismo dalam produksi gula pasir dapat menggunakan 5W+1H yang dimana menjadi alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi cacat produk. There are various ways to control product quality, one of which is Statistical Quality Control (SQC), a quality control tool using statistical methods to solve problems in the company. The Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method is used to control quality from the initial process to the finished product and the production process with certain quality standards that the company has agreed upon. In the Pareto diagram for granulated sugar production, the most dominant product defect is the specific gravity of the product defect, which often occurs. The percentage reaches 39% of the total production carried out for two months of 87,830 quintals. Due to machine repairs, the factors that influence this product's defects are machines and humans. Proposed improvements to PT Madukismo in the production of granulated sugar can use 5W+1H, which is an alternative that can be used to reduce product defects.
