Abstract

ABSTRAK PT Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi rokok kretek yang beralokasi kan di Jalan LU. Adisucipto, Kota Surakarta, Jawa Tengah 57143. PT Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco terbentuk pada tahun 1969. Permasalahan pada setiap proses kegiatan produksi rokok atau sigaret PT Djitoe adalah dalam proses produksi seringkali menghadapi masalah seperti kekurangan bahan baku dan lead time bahan baku. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kelangkaan bahan baku adalah bahan baku yang tidak sesuai dengan kualitas atau mutu perusahaan dan pengiriman bahan baku dari luar kota yang memakan waktu. Dimana diketahui pada saat adanya permintaan produk rokok yang secara tiba tiba dari konsumen, maka pihak perusahaan akan melakukan pemesanan mendadak atau pemesanan bahan baku cengkeh secara tiba tiba yang dimana diluar dari jadwal pemesanan yang biasanya. Hal tersebut menyebabkan terjadi biaya lonjakan biaya pemesanan yang membuat PT Djitoe mengeluarkan biaya kurang lebih sekitar Rp. 250.000.000 atau sekitar 25% dari pemesanan biasanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan total biaya bahan baku dengan mempertimbangkan metode Continuous Review Model dan Hybrid System pada PT Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco dan memberikan usulan perbaikan pengendalian dan perencanaan persediaan bahan baku yang optimal pada PT Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan metode Continuous Review Model dan Hybrid System total biaya yang optimal untuk bahan baku cengkeh menggunakan yang didapatkan sebesar Rp. 2.175.444.325/ 4 bulan dan Rp.241.535.138.444/4 bulan dengan kebijakan perusahaan sebesar Rp. 9.947.355.750/4 bulan. Dengan demikian penggunaan metode Continuous Review Model mendapatkan hasil yang lebih kecil dari pada metode Hybrid System dan Kebijakan Perusahaan, yang artinya perusahaan dapat melakukan pengehematan biaya persediaan sebesar Rp.7.771.911.4225 atau sekitar 78%. PT Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco was formed in 1969. The problem in each process of PT Djitoe's cigarette production activities is that the production process often facing problems such as shortage of raw materials and lead time of raw materials. The factors that influence the scarcity of raw materials are raw materials that are not in accordance with the quality of the company and shipping raw materials from out of town which takes time. Where it is known that when there is a sudden demand for cigarette products from consumers, the company will place sudden orders or order clove raw materials suddenly which are outside the usual ordering schedule. This caused an increase in ordering costs which cost PT Djitoe approximately IDR 250,000,000 or around 25% of the usual order. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the total cost of raw materials by considering the Continuous Review Model and Hybrid System methods at PT Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco and to provide recommendations for improving optimal raw material inventory control and planning at PT Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco. Based on the results of calculations using the Continuous Review Model and Hybrid System methods, the optimal total cost for clove raw materials using the obtained is IDR 2,175,444,325/4 months and IDR 241,535,138,444/4 months with a company policy of IDR 9,947,355,750/4 months. Thus the use of the Continuous Review Model method obtains smaller results than the Hybrid System method and Company Policy, which means that the company can make inventory cost savings of IDR 7,771,911,4225 or around 78%.
