Abstract
This study is done to analyze the use of characterization in the main character, Emma Woodhouse, in EMMA film. The method of the study is descriptive qualitative. The research data were collected through the film as the main source of data. Using Objective Theory, the writer examines the intrinsic aspects of the film such as the dialogues, actions, and character visualizations and analyzed them. In the study the writer finds some result which shows that the main character, Emma, is portrayed with a distinctive characterization in the film. Emma is described as a young woman who is smart, good, but arrogant. The findings of this study can provide new insights into character analysis and creation in film adaptations of classic literary works.
