Abstract
Setiap manusia mengalami perkembangan sosial yang dimulai sejak kanak-kanak sampai usia lanjut. Perkembangan sosial ini berkembang secara bertahap sesuai dengan pertambahan usia. Individu perlu beradaptasi dengan lingkungan untuk mendukung kematangan sosial. Kematangan sosial dipengaruhi oleh beberapa aspek, salah satunya adalah konsep diri positif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui “hubungan antara konsep diri dengan penyesuaian diri terhadap teman sebaya pada siswa kelas X SMA Angkasa Adisutjipto Yogyakarta Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 118 siswa, sampel penelitian sejumlah 91 siswa dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Instrument penelitian berupa kuisioner tertutup dengan skala Likert 1 sampai dengan 4. Metode analisa data menggunakan korelasi product moment Pearson’s. Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukkan ada korelasi positif antara Konsep Diri dengan Penyesuaian Diri terhadap Teman Sebaya pada Siswa Kelas X SMA Angkasa Adisutjipto, berdasarkan nilai Rhitung (0,643) > Rtabel (0,206), dan nilai Sig.(0,000) < α (0,05), sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai Rhitung sebesar 0,643 adalah positif, yang menunjukkan bahwa hubungan yang ada bersifat positif atau berbanding lurus. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan yang lebih luas dan dapat memberikan pemahaman bagi pembaca mengenai hubungan konsep diri dengan penyesuaian diri terhadap teman sebaya. Keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini adalah ruang lingkup yang digunakan dalam penelitian hanya mencangkup pada satu sekolah saja yang ruang lingkupnya tidak terlalu besar dan luas, sehingga hasil penelitian tidak dapat digeneralisasikan kepada populasi yang lebih luas. Diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan penelitian dengan menambahkan variabel lain seperti variabel aktualisasi, harga diri karena pada dasarnya masih banyak hal yang berhubungan dengan konsep diri dan penyesuaian diri, sehingga persoalan tentang remaja dapat diteliti lebih mendalam dan komprehensif. Every human being will experience social development starting from childhood to old age, gradually according to his age, so that he can be accepted by other people, the individual requires various social abilities. A good self-concept can have an important influence on adjustment to peers. This study aims to determine "the relationship between self-concept and adjustment to peers in class X students of Angkasa Adisutjipto Yogyakarta High School in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research is a correlation study. There are two variables in this study, namely the independent variable (X) is self-concept and the dependent variable (Y) is adjustment to peers. The population in this study were 118 students, the research sample was 91 students with engineering purposive sampling. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The research instrument is a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1 to 4. The data analysis method uses correlationproduct moment Pearson’s. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that there is a correlation between self-concept and self-adjustment to peers in Class X SMA Angkasa Adisutjipto, based on the R valuecount(0,643) > Rtable(0.206), and the value of Sig.(0.000) < α (0.05), so it can be said that the value of Rcountof 0.643 is positive, which indicates that the relationship is positive or directly proportional.Thus it can be concluded that "there is a significant positive relationship between self-concept and adjustment to peers in class X students of Angkasa Adisutjipto Yogyakarta Academic Year 2022/2023. The benefit of this research is that it is hoped that it can add broader insight and can provide understanding for readers regarding the relationship between self-concept and adjustment to peers. The limitation in this study is that the scope used in the study only covers one school, the scope of which is not too large and broad, so that the results of the study cannot be generalized to the wider population. It is hoped that future researchers can further develop research by adding other variables such as actualization variables, self-esteem because basically there are still many thingsrelated to self-concept and self-adjustment, so that problems regarding adolescents can be minimized compressively.
