Abstract
ABSTRACT The library of SMA N 8 Purworejo provides books that are not recorded and the bookshelves are complicated, making it difficult for teachers, students and other readers who come to the library to find or choose books to borrow. The process of returning or borrowing books is complicated and often creates long queues. The aim of this research is to build a website-based system that will later be able to help library members, librarians, teachers and other visitors to easily carry out activities in the library environment that are happening now or are taking place, so that they can describe what happened properly when the research was carried out. The processes carried out in the library information system are borrowing books, returning books, collecting book data, collecting ebook data, borrowing reports, returning reports which make it easier for employees to see transactions that occur in the library. Based on the results of process research that has been carried out in the SMA N 8 Purworejo library so far, running well, but needs development and support with more adequate technology so that transaction activities in the SMA N 8 Purworejo library run even better.
