IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB-BASED ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: SMP NEGERI 1 CIWARU, CIWARU) Singgih Septian Nugraha, Afwan Anggara, S.Kom., M.Cs. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : septiansinggih93@gmail.com , email.dosen@gmail.com ABSTRACT This research implements a website-based academic information system at SMP Negeri 1 Ciwaru. The aim is to make it easier to manage academic data such as grades, teachers, students and subjects which was previously done manually. This system also allows students to monitor the progress of their grades. The research method uses a web-based system development approach with stages of needs analysis, design, implementation and evaluation. This academic information system has features to manage academic data and allows students to monitor grade progress online. Students can access the system through the website using credentials provided by the school. The research results show that the implementation of a website-based academic information system has succeeded in increasing the efficiency of academic data management at SMP Negeri 1 Ciwaru. Data management of grades, teachers, students and subjects becomes more structured, accurate and easy to access. Students can also monitor grade progress in real-time, increasing awareness of learning achievements and providing opportunities for improvement. It is hoped that this academic information system can become a reference for other schools in improving academic data management and providing easy access for students to monitor grade progress. This research also contributes to the development of information technology in education and encourages students to be more active in improving academic achievement.
