Abstract

ABSTRACT SMP N 2 Tempel is an agency that operates in the education sector. The data processing system carried out at the school is still manual, one of which is the student attendance process. The problem with the student attendance process is that student attendance data is collected using a student attendance report book, which causes student attendance data recorded in the report book to be easily lost, damaged and wasteful of paper. The aim of this research is to implement a web-based student attendance information system to make it easier for admins, teachers, administration and picket teachers to carry out the student attendance process. This research uses data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews and literature study and continues with design analysis, program implementation or coding, then program testing and finally reporting. Testing the student attendance system uses the Black Box testing method, to test the I/O (Input and Output) functionality of the data, so that when data is entered it does not match what is expected, the system will refuse access. Conclusion: The test of the student attendance system application was successfully built, and the input and output functionality testing ran correctly and well.
