Abstract

ABSTRACT SMP N 2 Tempel is an agency operating in the education sector which was founded on April 1, 1979 with School Establishment Operational Permit Decree Number 030/U/1979. SMP N 2 Tempel has 35 teachers and 478 students. SMP N 2 Tempel is located on Jalan Balangan-Tempel, Banyurejo Village, Tempel District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. Based on the results of observations obtained at SMP N 2 Tempel, there are problems in managing library data which currently still uses conventional methods by manually recording in books. This conventional method will create an opportunity for data to be damaged or lost and become a problem for the library management of SMP N 2 Tempel. Obtained a solution to solve the problem by designing a web-based library information system. The stages used in this practical work begin with data collection through observation, interviews and literature study. Then, proceed with problem analysis, design, implementation and testing. The results of this research are the application of a web-based library information system, which can help manage library administration data. The system that has been designed can provide facilities to agencies and make it easier for library staff to carry out data management processes starting from member registration, the process of borrowing and returning books, to making reports.
