Abstract

ABSTRACT SMP Negeri 1 Randudongkal is an institution that operates in the education sector and has library facilities for borrowing books for students and teachers. However, the process of borrowing and reporting book data is still done manually, where the process of recording book borrowings is still recorded using a ledger, so that these recordings often occur in writing errors and loss of library data. The aim of this research is to implement a web-based library information system to make it easier for staff to record book borrowing data and make it easier for students and teachers in the book borrowing process. The steps taken to build a library system are determining the location at SMP Negeri 1 Randudongkal, conducting observations and interviews to analyze the system running in the school library, designing the system from database design to interface, implementing the system, and testing functionality using Black Box testing. for I/O data and User Acceptance Test to meet user needs. After successfully passing testing, the system is handed over to the school for use. The results of this research are that the web-based library information system has been successfully implemented and all its functionality is running well and as expected.
