Abstract

ABSTRACT CV. Alva Jaya is a company engaged in the business of selling cellphones and accessories. Sales activities in companies certainly cannot be separated from financial reports, and this is also the case at CV Alva Jaya. Sales activities are also a factor that has an impact on the company's financial performance, because the revenue and profits obtained by the company are greatly influenced by the sales that occur. Apart from improving company services, it also improves financial performance. The problems that occur in agencies are that the financial sector takes a long time to recapitulate and calculate financial data and has limited storage media, and is prone to damage that may occur in the future. Sometimes there is also data and information that is missed to be recorded so that it has to be recapped by the financial sector. This results in owners having difficulty seeing the company's financial position and resulting in slow decision making. Based on the problems that occur, the author proposes to design and build a web-based accounting information system. The aim of this research is to design and build an accounting information system to assist the financial sector in carrying out financial records and helping owners to see the company's financial position. The system design was carried out using a structured waterfall method of needs analysis (interviews and observations), system design, writing program code, testing program code, and implementation. The result of this research is an application that can help the financial sector in recording financial reports and can help owners see financial positions so that they can also help in decision making.
