Abstract

Sanggar Peni is a manufacturer of wooden batik crafts that produces various kinds of crafts, such as accessories, home decor and household furniture. Sanggar Peni has been established since 1989 and is currently part of the Krebet Tourism Village located in Pajangan sub-district, Bantul. Currently the transaction process and recording of sales data is still carried out using a manual system so it is considered less effective and efficient. Thus, research was carried out to build a system in the form of implementing a point of sale system for website-based wooden batik sales in order to make the business process at Sanggar Peni more efficient and speed up the wooden batik sales transaction process and improve employee performance in serving customers and managing sales data. The research stages carried out by the author were in the form of data collection which consisted of interviews, observation and documentation. The next stages are literature study, system implementation, system testing and evaluation. This website was developed using the Laravel framework, Boostrap, and MySQL database. The results of the research by implementing this point of sale application are that it is able to improve the performance of cashier employees in carrying out the transaction data input process, thereby minimizing the possibility of errors in calculating consumer product purchases and providing fast and comfortable service. And it can make it easier for business owners to control ongoing transaction processes and make it easier for employees to manage sales data and make reports to Sanggar Peni business owners
