Abstract
This report aims to determine the potential amount of hotel tax and the effectiveness of hotel tax revenue in the city of Yogyakarta. The data processed is data obtained from the results of industrial internship activities as well as related data, namely the number of rooms, average room rate, number of days in a year, room occupancy rate, and the amount of hotel tax rates that have been set by the government in 2022. Research results shows the potential for hotel taxes is very large, far above the realized value of hotel tax revenues. The results of this research also show that there is a fluctuating value in the level of hotel tax effectiveness in the city of Yogyakarta in 2022, the achievement of which is below 100%, far below the effective criteria.
