Abstract

Pasar merupakan bagian dari kehidupan sosial masyarakat yang pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya disesuaikan dengan adat-istiadat norma adat di suatu daerah yang kemudian menjadi sarana kegiatan ekonomi yang menunjang kebutuhan masyarakat yang sekaligus menjadi tempat bertemunya para penjual dan pembeli. Dalam perkembangannya, pasar dapat diartikan sebagai institusi atau lembaga yang dikelola oleh pemerintah agar transaksi perdagangan dapat berlangsung dengan baik. Kota Makassar merupakan salah satu kota metropolitan di Kawasan Timur Indonesia yang juga ibu kota Sorong Papau Barat. Kota ini merupakan daerah yang potensial untuk dibangun pasar untuk menggerakkan roda perekonomian masyarakat, terutama di kawasan dengan komunitas potensi ekonomi, seperti zonasi untuk permukiman dengan tingkat kepadatan tinggi. relatif tinggi seperti di wilayah kota sorong . Masalah lain yang ada di pasar tradisional ini antara lain: kurangnya lahan parkir untuk kendaraan di sisi depan jalan utama, relative keterbatasan infrastruktur untuk los penjulan sehingga penjual yang harus ditampung di dalam pasar "meluap" ke depan yang merupakan peruntukan parkir kendaraan, The Penataan Pedagang Kali Lima (PKL) yang relatif semrawut juga berkontribusi besar hingga kemacetan di jalan depan pasar, masalah sanitasi pasar yang tidak terencana dengan baik sehingga menimbulkan bau tidak sedap yang mengganggu aktivitas penjual dan pembeli di pasar. Berdasarkan pernyataan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara fungsional, Pasar Tradisional tidak dapat memenuhi fungsinya sebagai perekonomian masyarakat infrastruktur dan oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya serius untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Markets are part of the social life of the community whose growth and development is adjusted to the customs of customary norms in an area which then becomes a means of economic activity that supports the needs of the community as well as a meeting place for sellers and buyers. In its development, the market can be interpreted as an institution or institution managed by the government so that trade transactions can take place properly. Makassar City is one of the metropolitan cities in Eastern Indonesia, which is also the capital city of Sorong, West Papau. This city is a potential area for a market to build to drive the wheels of the community's economy, especially in areas with economic potential communities, such as zoning for high-density settlements relatively high as in the city of Sorong. Other problems that exist in this traditional market include: the lack of parking space for vehicles on the front side of the main road, the limited infrastructure for sales booths so that sellers who must be accommodated in the market "overflow" in the future which is the allotment for parking vehicles, The arrangement of street vendors which is relatively chaotic also contributes greatly to traffic jams on the road in front of the market, problems with market sanitation that are not well planned, causing unpleasant odors that interfere with the activities of sellers and buyers in the market. Based on the statement above, it can be concluded that functionally, Traditional markets cannot fulfill their function as an infrastructure community economy and therefore serious efforts are needed to overcome this problem.
