Abstract
Pesatnya perkembangan dan kondisi Kota Sorong yang tidak sebanding membuat langkah pemerintah berupaya untuk menata dan membangun kota. Dalam hal ini reklamasi menjadi salah satu upaya dalam merespon permasalahan yang ada pada pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam aspek bisnis dan pariwisata. Proyeksi wisatawan yang semakin meningkat dan kurangnya ketersediaan fasilitas menjadi faktor utama. Rencana pemerintah menyediakan 15 block untuk pembangunan dalam aspek bisnis dan pariwisata, 1 block area disediakan untuk dibangun resort hotel. Dalam hal ini juga memperhatikan kondisi kekakuan bangunan sekitar, tema neo vernakular untuk merespon pertumbuhan kota dan budaya sekitar. Metode yang digunakan berupa pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder berdasarkan issue sekitar, lalu menganalisis menjadi ide desain, dan dikembangkan secara utuh melalui analisa dan evaluasi. Desain yang dikembangkan berdasarkan poin analisis site dan respon desain, analisis gubahan massa dari bentuk dan tampilan desain rumah tradisional Papua kaki seribu, rumah jew, dan rumah pohon, konsep ornamentasi dari motif khas Papua, analisis konsep landscape dari pola permukiman masyarakat tradisional Papua, analisis struktur dan material perpaduan konsep tradisional modern dan struktur yang aman diatas tanah reklamasi. The rapid development and incomparable condition of Sorong City made the government try find ways to organize and build the city. In this case, reclamation is one of the efforts in responding to the problems that exist in terms of economic growth in business and tourism aspects. The increasing tourist projections and lack of facilities available are the main factors. The government has planned to provide 15 blocks for development in business and tourism aspects, 1 of which is provided for the construction of resort hotels. In this case, by paying attention to the stiffness of the surrounding buildings, the neo-vernacular theme was chosen to respond to the growth of the city and the surrounding culture. The method used was primary and secondary data collection based on environmental issues, followed by analyzing and turning the data into design ideas as well as developing them as a whole by carrying out analysis and evaluation. The design that was developed was based on the points of site analysis and design response, mass composition analysis of the shape and appearance of Papua traditional house designs, namely a thousand-foot house, jew house, and tree house, the concept of ornamentation and typical Papua motifs, landscape analysis of traditional Papua community settlement patterns, as well as structure and material analysis of a combination of modern traditional concepts and safe structures on the reclamation land.
