Abstract

Kotabaru sendiri termasuk dalam salah satu kota cagar budaya di DIY dengan latar belakang sejarah, bangunan s dengan konsep tatanan Garden City. Kridosono, sebagai bagian dari Kotabaru dan berperan sebagai pusat kota menurut konsep Garden City yang dahulu berfungsi sebagai taman kota dan sarana olahraga. Kridosono saat ini merupakan suatu kawasan dengan fasilitas olahraga dan area komersial. Masalah saat ini, intensitas kegiatan di Kridosono mulai menurun dari waktu ke waktu yang disebabkan oleh berpindahnya kegiatan olahraga skala besar ke tempat sarana olahraga yang lebih lengkap fasilitasnya. Kridosono beralih fungsi menjadi area komersial yang disewakan untuk kepentingan komunitas tertentu dan adanya pagar pembatas yang mengelilingi Kridosono sehingga tidak dapat diakses dengan bebas oleh masyarakat sebagaimana mestinya ruang publik. Konsep Placemaking menerapkan proses kolaboratif dengan masyarakat dalam membentuk ranah publik untuk memaksimalkan nilai positif guna kepentingan bersama, seperti meningkatkan kualitas suatu lingkungan agar bisa menjadi pusat kehidupan bagi masyarakat umum maupun komunitas terkait. Metode Perancangan berupa metode deskriptif yang meliputi studi pustaka, survey lapangan untuk menganalisis potensi site, analisis berdasar konsep Placemaking yang digunakan dalam Revitalisasi Kridosono. Hasil rancangan diharapkan tidak hanya mempromosikan rancangan perkotaan menjadi lebih baik, tapi juga menjadikan lingkungan terfasilitasi fungsi dengan pola kreatif, memperkuat identitas fisik, budaya, dan sosial yang mendukung perubahan lingkungan yang positif secara berkelanjutan dan menentukan kualitas untuk mengembalikan peran Kridosono sebagai pusat Kotabaru. Kotabaru is included in one of the cultural heritage cities in DIY with a historical background, buildings with the concept of a Garden City arrangement. Kridosono, as part of Kotabaru and acts as the city center according to the concept of Garden City, which used to function as a city park and sports facilities. Kridosono is currently an area with sports facilities and commercial areas. The current problem is that the intensity of activities in Kridosono is starting to decrease from time to time due to the migration of large-scale sports activities to places with more complete sports facilities. Kridosono has changed its function into a commercial area that is rented out for the benefit of certain communities and there is a guardrail around Kridosono so that it cannot be freely accessed by the public as public spaces should. The Placemaking concept applies a collaborative process with the community in shaping the public sphere to maximize positive values for the common good, such as improving the quality of an environment so that it can become the center of life for the general public and related communities. The design method is a descriptive method which includes literature study, field survey to analyze the potential of the site, analysis based on the Placemaking concept used in Kridosono Revitalization. The results of the design are expected not only to promote better urban design, but also to make the environment facilitated functions with creative patterns, strengthen physical, cultural, and social identities that support positive environmental changes in a sustainable manner and determine the quality to restore Kridosono's role as the center of Kotabaru.
