Abstract

Kota Cilacap merupakan ibu kota Kabupaten Cilacap yang sedang berkembang pesat baik dari segi jumlah penduduk maupun pertumbuhan ekonomi. Banyaknya sektor industri di kota ini menjadikan sebagai simpul jasa distribusi dan disematkan sebagai kota industri. Kabupaten Cilacap dalam Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) Provinsi Jawa Tengah tahun 2009-2029, mengarahkan Kota Cilacap sebagai Pusat Kawasan Nasional (PKN), perkotaan yang memaksimalkan semua sektor kehidupan. Timbal balik kota industri untuk melengkapi antarsimpul yaitu prioritas tatanan struktur ruang kota, supaya terciptanya keselarasan dan seimbang yaitu dengan kebutuhan sandang dan pangan yang merupakan sektor perdagangan jasa. Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Cilacap menunjukkan pertumbuhan utamanya didorong oleh Pengeluaran Konsumsi Rumah Tangga (PKRT), dengan ketahanan pangan terutama berasal dari sektor pangan berupa pertanian dan perikanan, yang juga memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Jawa Tengah. Sehingga subsektor berpotensi dikembangkan dengan integrasi pemasaran komoditas pangan dengan peningkatan nilai jual lebih melalui pemasaran di Pusat Perbelanjaan. Hal ini dampak dari meningkatnya kebutuhan dan perubahan gaya hidup yang membuat pola pikir masyarakat semakin modern dan konsumtif, yang menuntut kenyamanan dan kemudahan dalam aktivitas berbelanja. Dengan adanya Pusat Perbelanjaan di Cilacap dengan Penekanan Arsitektur Kontemporer merupakan langkah awal dalam proses perancangan pengidentifikasian kebutuhan masyarakat dan potensi berbagai hasil alam di Cilacap. Dan kemudian akan difasilitasi berupa wadah dengan realisasi kesan bangunan yang men-citra-kan kota berkembang dari perubahan sebuah citra kota industri. Cilacap, the capital city of Cilacap Regency, is growing rapidly in terms of both population and economy. A large number of industries in this city makes it a distribution service node, and it is nicknamed the industrial city. In the 2009-2029 Central Java Provincial Spatial Planning (RTRW) for Cilacap Regency, Cilacap is directed as the Center of National Activity (PKN), an urban area that maximizes all sectors of life. The reciprocity of industrial cities to complement the inter-nodes is to prioritize the city’s spatial structure to create harmony and balance in meeting the needs of clothing and food, which is the service trade sector. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Cilacap shows that economic growth is mainly driven by Household Consumption Expenditure (PKRT), with food security being supported mainly by the food sector, namely agriculture and fisheries, which also provide the largest contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Central Java. Thus, the sub-sector has the potential to be developed through the integration of food commodity marketing by increasing selling points through marketing at the Shopping Center. It is caused by the increasing needs and lifestyle changes, where people’s mindset turns out to be more modern and consumptive, demanding comfort and convenience in shopping activities. Therefore, establishing a Shopping Center in Cilacap with an Emphasis on Contemporary Architecture is the first step in the design process to identify community needs and the potential for various natural products in Cilacap. Then, it will be facilitated with a building depicting a change of a developing city in the image of an industrial city.
