Abstract

Kemajuan dan kesejahteraan ekonomi yang semakin tinggi telah menjadikan pariwisata sebagai bagian pokok dari kebutuhan atau gaya hidup manusia. Pariwisata Indonesia mempunyai program Wonderfull of Indonesia yang diharapkan dapat memenuhi target kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara ke Indonesia. Sekto Pariwisata di Ponorogo menjadi perhatian karena potensi alam dan budaya yang luar biasa. Salah satu strategi atau program dari pemerintah untuk mengembangkan Kawasan dan event wisata unggulan juga telah tertera di Perda Kabupaten Ponorogo tahun 2012 tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Kabupaten Ponorogo Tahun 2012-2032 yaitu membentuk zona wisata, paket wisata, dan promosi wisata. Permasalahan yang terjadi di industri pariwisata Ponorogo saat ini adalah tidak meratanya kunjungan wisata di Kabupaten Ponorogo. Wisata-wisata yang ada di Ponorogo saat ini hanya banyak dikunjungi oleh wisatawan lokal. Kurangnya informasi dan promosi wisata menyebabkan obyek wisata Ponorogo kurang diketahui oleh wisatawan dari luar kota ataupun mancanegara. Sehingga Perancangan Pusat Informasi Pariwisata diharapkan mampu memperkenalkan atau mempromosikan wisata di Ponorogo dan dapat mengembangkan atau mengangkat perekonomian dan meratakan kunjungan wisata selain wisatawan lokal, dengan penerapan konsep arsitektur regionalisme, yang mana menyatukan aristektur tradisional dan modern. Hasil penerapan pada rancangan yaitu menggunakan material lokal, tanggap dalam kondisi iklim setempat, dan mengacu pada tradisi dan sejarah setempat. The higher economic growth and welfare make tourism a fundamental need or lifestyle. Tourism in Indonesia has a program called Wonderful Indonesia, which expects to meet the targeted number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia. The tourism sector in Ponorogo attracts tourists’ attention due to the wonderful potential of its nature and culture. One of the strategies or programs by the government to promote this area and featured tourism events has been stipulated in the 2012 Regional Government Regulation of Ponorogo concerning the 2012-2032 Ponorogo Regency Spatial Plan, including establishing a tourism zone, tourism package, and tourism promotion. However, the common problem in the tourism industries in Ponorogo is the uneven distribution of tourist visits. Tourist destinations in Ponorogo are only visited by local tourists. Lack of information and tourism promotion causes the tourism objects to be less popular with tourists outside Ponorogo, including foreign tourists. It is expected that designing a Tourism Information Center by applying the regionalism architecture concept will help promote the tourist destinations in Ponorogo, which will develop the economy and attract not only local tourists but also those from outside Ponorogo. The regional architecture concept combines traditional and modern architecture. The design uses local materials, adjusts to the local climate, and refers to the local tradition and history.
