Abstract

Kota Brebes terletak di provinsi Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Luas wilayah Kabupaten Brebes 1.769,62 km², dengan jumlah penduduknya berdasarkan hasil dari Sensus Penduduk Indonesia 2020 berjumlah 1.978.759 jiwa. Brebes dicatat sebagai sentra industri bawang merah terbesar di Indonesia. Bawang merah Brebes juga dinilai sebagai bawang merah terbaik di Indonesia Hingga saat ini.Perancangan Sentra Industri bawang merah ini didasari karena ingin menunjukan kembali kepada semua, bahwasannya bawang merah brebes pada masa sekarang berkembang pesat dan sudah diolah kembali beberapa produk olahan. Selain itu, karena brebes sendiri mempunyai icon bawang merah dan kurangnya lahan para usaha tani untuk memasarkan hasil panen mereka. Sasaran penulisan untuk Sentra Industri bawang merah ini yaitu menjadikan sentra industri ini sebagai pusat pengolahan, pemasaran dan penelitian mengenai bawang merah, dengan tetap menomor satu kan kenyamanan penggunanya. Konsep yang digunakan pada perancangan sentra industri bawang merah menggunkan prinsip pendekatan arsitektur tropis. Dimana tujuan utama dari arsitektur tropis merupakan memecahkan problematika sekitar. Dengan begini tentunya sentra industri yang akan digunakan sebagai pemasaran, pengolahan dan kunjungan akan tetap memberikan kenyamanan bagi para penggunanya. The city of Brebes is located in the province of Central Java, Indonesia. The area of Brebes Regency is 1,769.62 km². Based on the results of the 2020 Indonesian Population Census, the population is 1,978,759 people. Brebes is noted as the center of the largest shallot industry in Indonesia. Until now, Shallots from Brebes are considered the best shallots in Indonesia. The design of the shallot Industrial Center aims to show back to all, that Brebes shallots are currently growing rapidly and have been processed into several processed products. In addition, this design is motivated by the fact that Brebes has an icon of shallots and the lack of land for farmers to market their crops. The objective of writing for the shallot Industrial Center is to make this industrial center a center for processing, marketing and research on shallots, while prioritizing the convenience of its users. The concept used in the design of the shallot industrial center uses the principle of a tropical architectural approach, where the main goal of tropical architecture is to solve the surrounding problems. This way, industrial centers that will be used for marketing, processing and visits will still provide comfort for its users.
