Abstract

Kabupaten Kulon Progo memiliki program pengembangan kawasan aerotropolis yang akan menjadi generator utama pembangunan ekonomi daerah. Infrastruktur dan fasilitas yang dibangun pada kawasan ini diantaranya, hunian, perkantoran, fasilitas medis dan area komersial. Kabupaten Kulon Progo juga terkenal memiliki banyak industri kerajinan, yang tersebar di beberapa wilayah. Hal itu menjadi kurang efisien untuk dikunjungi, sehingga pemerintah Kabupaten Kulon Progo memiliki rencana pembangunan pusat cenderamata yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Temon. Berdasarkan tata guna lahan lokasi tersebut masuk dalam kawasan aerotropolis dan berada di zona komersial. Perancangan sentra cenderamata akan mengacu pada peraturan pemerintah Kabupaten Kulon Progo tentang bangunan gedung menggunakan ciri khas Yogyakarta sebagai identitas daerah yang dapat direspon menggunakan konsep arsitektur kontekstual. Perancangan sentra cenderamata ini disesuaikan dengan kondisi lingkungan sekitar, yaitu dengan menerapkan beberapa elemen arsitektur kontekstual seperti, mengadaptasi bentuk massa, ornamen dan tipologi bangunan sekitar. Elemen arsitektur kontekstual tersebut akan diimplementasikan pada denah dengan mengambil unsur filosofi jawa, bentuk massa diadaptasi dari motif geblek renteng, skala bangunan disesuaikan dengan tipologi sekitar, pemanfaatan material lokal yang lebih ramah lingkungan, serta motif geblek renteng digunakan sebagai ornamen bangunan. Selain dirancang sebagai pusat industri kerajinan, sentra cenderamata dapat menjadi terobosan tepat guna serta mendukung keselarasan gaya arsitektur dalam perkembangan kawasan yang mulai pesat. Kulon Progo Regency's aerotropolis area development program will become the main generator of regional economic development. The infrastructure and facilities built in this area include residential, offices, medical facilities, and commercial areas. Kulon Progo Regency is famous for having many handicraft industries spread across several regions. It has become less efficient to visit, so the government of Kulon Progo Regency plans to build a souvenir center in Temon District. Based on the land use, the location is included in the aerotropolis area, and is in the commercial zone. The design of the souvenir center will refer to the government regulation of Kulon Progo Regency regarding buildings using the characteristics of Yogyakarta as a regional identity that can be responded to using contextual architectural concepts. The design of this souvenir center is adapted to the surrounding environmental conditions by applying several contextual architectural elements, such as adapting the mass form, ornaments, and typology of the surrounding buildings. The contextual architectural elements will be implemented on the floor plan by taking elements of Javanese philosophy; the mass form was adapted from the geblek renteng motif; the scale of the building is adjusted to the surrounding typology; utilization of local materials that are more environmentally friendly; the geblek renteng motif is used as the building ornament. In addition to being designed as a center for the craft industry, a souvenir center can be an effective breakthrough and support the harmony of architectural styles in the rapidly developing region.
