Abstract

The Olympic equestrian is an international competition that is participated in by more than 200 countries and thousands of athletes, and continues to experience increasing participation worldwide. In Indonesia, equestrian sport is still a minority sport because Indonesia does not yet have a complex equestrian infrastructure. Meanwhile, the number of athletes and equestrian events in Indonesia is always increasing. Some of the existing equestrian buildings have not been realized efficiently and functionally. Reporting from (Sumselprov.go.id), the Governor of South Sumatra as the general chairman of the All-Indonesian Equestrian Sports Association (PORDASI) wishes to develop equestrian sports that can be enjoyed by all people. After the 2018 Asian Games were held in the city of Palembang, precisely in Jakabaring Sport City, the Government was increasingly synergizing to make the Jakabaring Sport City area a sport tourism in Indonesia. The equestrian design method applies the principles of industrial architecture as a reference in the design. Industrial architecture is an approach that prioritizes the principles of material efficiency and building effectiveness. Specific principles applied in the design are unfinished materials, colors, structures, and lighting systems. The results of the design apply the Semi Outdoor system to the main equestrian building and horse stables. The structure in the building uses a combination of IWF steel structure, space truss, concrete, and double CNP steel. Overall, the building uses an unfinished system in its construction, so that the structure can be seen from the outside and inside the building.
