Abstract
In Central Java, one of the efforts in advancing the tourism sector is to encourage this province as a MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) destination. Pemalang Regency is one of the areas in Central Java province that has potential in the tourism sector and creative economy with many activities held in it. However, there are issues, such as a lack of facilities or locations that can accommodate meetings, travel incentives, and exhibitions. Another issue is the site's location within the Detailed Spatial Planning Area and its proximity to the urban core, where air and water pollution are extremely high. The process of finding ideas and concepts by outlining every existing issue and problem in a logical and current manner, taking into account historical, cultural, and local potentials with primary and secondary data collection techniques and synthesis procedures. The design concept process breaks down the biophilic approach into the concept of site zoning, landscaping, facades, lighting concepts, air conditioning, building structures, and interiors. Using a Biophilic Architecture approach to design an Independent MICE Venue is the best course of action in the modern era. This approach is taken because the building not only serves as a provider of activity facilities but also considers users' physical and mental wellbeing by striking a balance between nature, humans, and buildings using the "Back To Nature" concept. This concept will be able to respond to environmental issues by implementing green open spaces, providing vegetation on sites and buildings, and utilizing stone and wood textures on both the exterior and interior, which can have a physical and mental impact on the user.
