Abstract

This research aims to find the types of illocutionary acts used in comments on Elon Musk's Twitter account and their most dominant form of illocutionary acts. The data taken from March 01, 2023, to July 26, 2023, were comments that responded to Elon Musk's Tweets about Twitter Blue. This research uses the theory of illocutionary speech acts by Searle (1979). Searle divides illocutionary speech acts into representative, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. This research collected 70 sample data that contain illocutionary acts with different forms of each type. The dominant form of illocutionary acts is complaining (27%) of representatives' illocution with 20 utterances, claiming (12%) with 9 utterances from the type of representatives, praising (10%) with 7 utterances from the expressives type, refusing (9%) with 4 utterances from commissives type. Ordering, advising, and questioning, have the same percentage (7%) with 5 utterances and come from the illocutionary types of directives. Meanwhile, the illocutionary act of congratulating (6%) with total utterances of 4 comes from expressives types of illocutionary acts. The last are four forms of the illocutionary act which are blaming (3%) and deploring (3%) with total utterances of 2 from expressives type, promising (3%) with total utterances of 2 from commisives types, and announcing (4%) with total utterances of 3 from declaratives type Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan jenis-jenis tindak ilokusi yang digunakan dalam komentar di akun Twitter Elon Musk dan bentuk tindak ilokusi yang paling dominan digunakan. Data yang diambil dari tanggal 01 Maret 2023 hingga 26 Juli 2023, memuat komentar yang merespon Tweet Elon Musk terkait Twitter Blue. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori tindak tutur ilokusi oleh Searle (1979). Searle membagi tindak tutur ilokusi menjadi representatif, direktif, komisif, ekspresif, dan deklaratif. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan 70 sampel data yang mengandung tindak ilokusi dengan bentuk yang berbeda dari setiap tipenya. Bentuk tindak ilokusi yang dominan adalah mengeluh (27%) dari ilokusi representatif dengan 20 ucapan, mengklaim (12%) dengan 9 ucapan dari tipe yang juga representatif, memuji (10%) dengan 7 ucapan dari tipe ekspresif, menolak (9 %) dengan 4 ucapan dari tipe komisif. Sementara itu, menyuruh, menasehati, dan bertanya, memiliki persentase yang sama sebanyak (7%) dengan 5 ujaran yang berasal dari tipe ilokusi direktif. Berikutnya tindak ilokusi ucapan selamat (6%) dengan total ujaran 4 berasal dari tipe ilokusi ekspresif. Kemudian yang terakhir adalah empat bentuk tindak ilokusi yaitu menyalahkan (3%) dan menyesalkan (3%) dengan jumlah ujaran 2 dari tipe ekspresif, menjanjikan (3%) dengan jumlah ujaran 2 dari tipe komisif, dan mengumumkan (4% ) dengan jumlah ujaran 3 dari tipe deklaratif
