Abstract
The final paper analyzes personal deixis found in The Secret Garden novel. There are two main problems that need to be addressed. To find out the type of personal deixis found in The Secret Garden novel. To find the most dominant personal deixis types in The Secret Garden novel. The writer used the descriptive�qualitative method for collecting the data from the novel. For analyzing and categorizing the data, the writer used five methods: classifying, describing, finding, drawing, and coding. In this final paper, the writer found four types of personal deixis in The Secret Garden novel. There are subject pronouns, object pronouns, possessive adjectives, and reflexive pronouns. The most dominant type of personal deixis found in the final paper is subject pronoun third person (58%), with 113 data points. Makalah akhir ini menganalisis deiksis personal yang terdapat dalam novel The Secret Garden. Ada dua permasalahan utama yang perlu dijawab. Untuk mengetahui jenis deiksis personal yang terdapat dalam novel The Secret Garden. Untuk mengetahui tipe deiksis personal yang paling dominan dalam novel The Secret Garden. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengumpulkan data dari novel. Untuk menganalisis dan mengkategorikan data, penulis menggunakan lima metode, metode tersebut adalah mengklasifikasikan, mendeskripsikan, menemukan, menggambar dan yang terakhir adalah pengkodean. Dari tugas akhir ini, penulis menemukan empat jenis deiksis personal dalam novel The Secret Garden. Ada kata ganti subjek, kata ganti objek, kata sifat posesif, dan kata ganti refleksif. Jenis deiksis personal yang paling dominan ditemukan pada tugas akhir ini adalah kata ganti subjek orang ketiga (58%) dengan jumlah 113 data
